Back against turbines plan
AT the Swansea planning committee meeting on August 30 (from which 34 councillors were missing), White consultants stated they found it hard to square the developer's conclusion there would be no significant impact on tourism. Yet Peter Black made Atlantic Array out to be the new Atlantis, and nobody would notice the turbines.
Thankfully 28 councillors could see through the ploy by the developers, there would be no utopia, just virtually useless eyesores and a blight on the Gower coast. Come on councillors, back the likes of Wendy Fitzgerald,Tony Colburn, Paxton Williams and Richard Lewis, who are not mesmerised by these money-producing machines.

“How on earth can anyone believe that an intermittent, unpredictable energy supply, backed up by fossil fuel generation is reducing carbon emissions. IT'S A HUGE LIE PEOPLE. It doesn't take a degree in engineering to work out that we have to match electricity generation to supply, not the other way around. Wind turbines only produce electricity when the wind is blowing at a certain speed and that only happens between 25 to 30% of the time. In order to keep the lights on base load back up is running full time in case of a sudden drop in the wind. Wind energy is a massive drain on our resources and threatens our security of supply. Calling people clowns and pillocks does not make them wrong and you right bennyhill4 and Dooyah. Hiding behind pseudonyms and calling people just shows you have lost the argument.

“For every pro wind farm campaigner there is an anti campaigner. The only comment i have to make is that i have attended the last 2 council meetings, and in my oppinion the 4 councillors mentioned at the end of the article are clowns that i would struggle to take seriously”
