South Wales Evening Post

DRIVING past Morriston, but before reaching the rail bridge and Ynysforgan roundabout, you will notice total devastation alongside the River Tawe footpath. As far as the eye can see, all the trees and shrubs have been cut down.

Not that long ago it cost Swansea Council a considerable amount of money landscaping the whole area. A few small lakes were made and hundreds of trees and shrubs planted, which encouraged birds and wildlife to the area.

“They've been moved down to the Boulevard. The trees were being wasted in Morriston.”
