Top title for tenor
TENOR Trystan Llyr Griffiths has been crowned Young Welsh Singer of the Year.
The 25-year-old won the annual event — organised by Morriston Orpheus Choir and its supporters' association — following what judges called a final of "exceptionally high standard" at Margam Orangery in Port Talbot.
The tenor, from Clunderwen in Pembrokeshire, beat Llanelli mezzo-soprano Eirlys Myfanwy Davies, Swansea soprano Angharad Morgan, and tenor Samuel Furness, from Cardiff, to win the Ivor E Sims Memorial Prize.
