Ferry's maiden voyage from Cork to Swansea interrupted by engine failure

A MECHANICAL fault briefly interrupted the maiden voyage of the MV Julia from Cork to Swansea last night.

One of the ship's four engines is reported to have failed.

Passengers on board said the ship had just left Ringaskiddy and was passing Whitegate when the incident happened.
