ROBERTO Mancini insists Manchester City are preparing for a difficult match — just months after claiming games against Swansea City were easy.

Mancini made that jibe in last season's run-in as title rivals Manchester United geared up to take on Brendan Rodgers's side.

But the Italian has since changed his tune.

"Swansea are a good team, they had a fantastic season last year when they played very well," said Mancini.

"This season things have changed a bit, but they still play very well.

"I think it will be a difficult game like all the games we have here.

"I don't think we have any easy games, every game is difficult for different reasons."

Swansea won the last meeting between the sides when Luke Moore headed the only goal of the game back in March.

City were also beaten 3-1 by Ajax in midweek, all but ending their Champions League hopes this season.

There have been signs of disharmony at the Etihad in the aftermath of that result after Micah Richards suggested some players are not comfortable with Mancini's tactics.

James Milner reckons City must put the midweek disappointment behind them by beating Swansea.

"We need to look at the video, see where we went wrong and where we can improve, take that into this match and come out with all guns blazing," he said.

"We need to try to put away some of the demons of the last game by getting a good result against Swansea."

City are third in the early table, four points behind leaders Chelsea, and have yet to lose a Premier League game this season.

"It's another important game, we need to win," added Milner.

"Coming on the back of disappointment at Ajax, it's important that we recover, get stuck back in and get fired up and ready to go. We can't rest on our laurels and that disappointment."
