Hollywood star Michael Sheen scoops award

MOVIE star Michael Sheen has received another top honour.

He was named film actor of the year at the Variety Club's annual awards.

Baglan boy Sheen, whose most recent film The Damned United has been a surprise hit in the States, is now on the brink of winning a new legion of young fans with New Moon — the sequel to smash-hit teenage vampire flick Twilight.

The 40-year-old said: "I really am the last British actor who's not in any of the Harry Potter films. I was looking for something I could do that would make me cool in the eyes of my daughter (Lily)."
