Bonnie Tyler says she's not best friends with Catherine Zeta Jones

SINGER Bonnie Tyler has revealed it's a myth that she is best friends with Catherine Zeta Jones.

The legend has said that in fact she is much closer to Catherine's parents Pat and Dai, who she knows through her husband.

She said: "I think Catherine's great, a really lovely girl, but we're by no means best friends. I haven't got her personal phone number or anything like that.

"I have never said we were close friends but people always assume and it's always reported that we are. I'm more her parents' age and it's her parents who I know well. I only really know her at all through them."

And Bonnie confessed she gets embarrassed when she reads reports saying she's is close pals with Oscar winner Catherine.

"When I read articles saying I'm best friends with Catherine I just die," she told the Post. "She does have best friends in Swansea and they must get annoyed when they read it and think I've said I'm best buddies with Catherine.

"My husband and I saw her when she was home in Swansea not long ago when she had a party. And I was invited to her 40th birthday in September. But while I do know her, we're not as close as people seem to think."
