I AM annoyed with the negative publicity generated by Mr Steve Redmore of Aberavon Shopping Centre about the council's Christmas arrangements in Port Talbot this year.
He does not speak for everyone in Port Talbot — not everyone or everything revolves around Aberavon Shopping Centre.
Also the fact that the parade was held the day before Remembrance Sunday could somehow be misconstrued as disrespectful is ridiculous.
Our grandfathers fought so that our children could enjoy their freedom in this country and I know my great-grandfather would not have objected to the Christmas parade.

I would like to congratulate Port Talbot Council for the wonderful parade and entertainment on November 10. I
I felt that combining the switching on of the Christmas lights and the parade was a good idea, but was a little disappointed that the lights came on at 4pm when it wasn't dark? I wonder what the reason for this was — was it a mistake? I am also a little curious as to where Port Talbot's lovely Christmas lights have gone?
I would like to know the answers to the questions above, but still want to thank the council for putting on such a great show and to let them know that we do not all share Mr Redmore's sentiments.

“I think Mr Redmore needs to have a good lie down in a dark room. What on earth is he talking about!!!!”
