All schools shut in Neath Port Talbot
ALL schools in Neath Port Talbot have been closed due to the snowy conditions.
Neath Port Talbot Council has confirmed that all schools across the county will not open today.
Ysgol Hendre Residential School in Neath is closed, but open for residential pupils only.
But the three main civic centres in Port Talbot, Neath and Pontardawe are staffed and open.

“I couldn`t agree more with siarad2 I remember 62/3 and we as kids walked to school through heavy snow. Blame Health & Safety Rules for the panic and chaos caused.”

“People in the USA & Europe must laugh their socks off at us, a few inches of snow & we're brought to a stop.
When did we become such wimps.
I recall in 1947 kids still went to school, trudging a couple of miles through deep snow, even though there was no heating due to no coal, simply keeping their hats, coats & gloves on
In 1962/3 we just drove on the snow, the biggest problem was finding petrol..”
