Behind-the-scenes look at making of Da Vinci's Demons in Swansea Bay

HERE'S a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a dramatic major TV production shot in Swansea Bay.

The action-packed Da Vinci's Demons has been filmed right across Swansea and Neath Port Talbot, including at Margam Castle, and will hit our screens next year.

Starring English actor Tom Riley, who has previously appeared in Monroe and I Want Candy, in the main role of Leonardo Da Vinci, it tells the story of his turbulent youth in Renaissance Florence.

The eight-part historical fantasy drama also features Laura Haddock, who appeared in The Inbetweeners Movie and Captain America: The First Avenger. She plays Lucrezia Donati, the mistress of Lorenzo Medici and lover of Leonardo da Vinci.

It is the first joint production between the premiere cable channel Starz Entertainment and BBC Worldwide.

The show tells the story of the brilliant and passionate 25-year-old Leonardo Da Vinci, as an artist, inventor, swordsman, lover, dreamer and idealist.

Filming on the production is due to come to an end next week.

The majority of the production was filmed at the studios at the former Visteon site on Fabian Way.
