Have your say: Get tough on law breakers
I READ an article in Friday's Evening Post regarding a driver who had been banned four times from driving and was caught a fifth time driving whilst banned and was given a suspended sentence by the magistrates' court.
Surely the message from these magistrates to all people who deliberately run the risk of being banned from driving is that they should carry on breaking the law until they get to a half dozen guilty counts before the magistrates court will 'man up' and send them to prison?
Meanwhile, these so called banned drivers are on public roads, often putting law abiding public lives at risk. It's not good enough.
