Have you say on coastline future
THE public in Swansea can have their say about the future of their coastline at an exhibition next week.
The Swansea and Carmarthen Bay Coastal Engineering Group, which includes representatives from councils, Environment Agency Wales and the Countryside Council for Wales, has drawn up a draft shoreline management plan.
The draft plan looks at how the coastline — from Barry in the east to St Ann's Head in Pembrokeshire — will be looked after and protected over the coming years, and how councils and Government will need to respond to the effects of rising sea levels, coastal erosion and climate change.
The draft plan will be on display at Swansea's Grand Theatre on September 8, between noon and 8pm.
There will also be exhibitions on September 10 at the Discovery Centre, North Dock, Llanelli; Carmarthen Library on September 13; and the Museum of Speed, Pendine, on September 14.
