Have your say: Thanks to cardiac unit staff
THERE seems to be a recent trend in negative stories and bad publicity about the ambulance service and NHS, in particular Morriston Hospital. I was disappointed to read the report regarding the situation in the cardiac care unit at Morriston Hospital a few weeks ago, and felt compelled to share my positive experience about the unit and the ambulance service.
After suffering a heart attack in the early hours of October 1, the rapid response paramedic arrived within eight minutes my wife calling 999 followed swiftly by the ambulance. Without delay I was rushed straight to the cardiac care unit where a team of on-call doctors promptly operated on me.
I am now looking forward to making a steady recovery, and would like to thank all of the staff and services involved in my care, having nothing but praise for them.
