The 'Do as I say not as I do' Climate Change Club

There is a rather exclusive club with a very restricted membership. It's called the "Do what I say – not what I do Club". It is of course only open to the ruling elite, not the general peasantry. All Climate Change Fanatics (CCF's) are fully paid up lifetime members of this club, why shouldn't they be; after all it is the taxpayer paying the fees.

Let us look at what the CCF's are saying. Man made Co2 emissions are causing the planet to heat up and this will damage our earth. We must reduce Co2 by making as few journeys as possible.

Fair enough you might think, it would then be reasonable to expect the CCF's to keep to this ideal themselves, to make as few journeys as possible and save the planet. If they want to have a get together they will no doubt use video conferencing or some other technically possible method of holding a meeting. You forget they are a member of DWIS NWID club; the 'no travel' rules are only for the lower orders.

So their first get together was where? Manchester, Birmingham, Blackpool? No apparently the meeting was so important it had to be held in Rio de Janeiro. And just to make sure we all understood just how important it was to cut down on the numbers of journeys being made they not only shipped in members from 108 countries with all their hangers-on which ran into thousands, but also 20,000 supporters to cheer them all on. But don't worry, we peasants did have a very important part to play – we paid for it out of our taxes.

The meeting was so successful, they did a lot of investigating drinking on the beach, they decided the next meeting should be held in Kyoto, Japan, once again all funded by the taxpayer. After that? Well how about the tropical paradise of Bali? I mean the message about not making frivolous journeys is just so important. This week of course they are in the Bahamas with Gordon Brown hammering home the message about saving the planet by not making too many journeys. Whatever next? Well how about Copenhagen for Christmas? It seems fitting that the land that gave us Hans Christian Anderson and his fairy stories should be the venue for the biggest fairy story of all time.

So you see peasants the message about not making frivolous journeys, and as far as we are concerned that means having to walk the three miles to the bus stop, is just so important that these people bless 'em have to travel to all these wonderful places, places the ordinary person will never be able to afford, just to spread the message. We are so lucky they are willing to do this for us; at least we can play our part by paying for all of it.

Let's look at our own Climate Champion. Cerith Jones with all the wealth of knowledge and experience his 16 years brings is dashing all over the country attending meetings and conferences on our behalf, and on our taxes. He even managed to squeeze in a trip to a Belgian Chocolate factory - oh yum as he says. Of course his next blog but one saw him preaching "as well as heading down to Caswell Bay in Gower to highlight the benefits of taking holidays in Wales rather than abroad." Well he would wouldn't he. He's off trogging round Belgian chocolate factories, Oh Yum, at your expense, but as soon as the serfs dare to ask for a couple of weeks in Spain, he'll come round and give you a stern talking to about how you should stay at home to save the planet!

Mind you we should be grateful to him for (his words) "saving the Earth", quite a feat for a 16 year old schoolboy. What worries me though is that apparently a number of schools have allowed him access to young children to spread his propaganda, something which is specifically banned by Law. You might think I am being a little harsh on young Cerith, but I'm afraid a fanatic is a fanatic whatever the age. Look back in history and you don't have to look too far to see a youth organisation that preached the word and brooked no argument. I seriously believe that it is this dangerous.

By the way let me end with the following test. In case you feel I am exaggerating ask yourself this. Do you know of any politician, local or national whose standard of living has actually fallen because of the extra taxes we are paying for the Global Warming Scam? We are paying about 30 per cent more than other people in Europe on our gas and electricity MP's don't pay these – you do. Our food bills have rocketed likewise – MP's get an allowance from the taxpayer to pay for food. Petrol prices have soared, MPs get official cars. The only people who are suffering are we peasants and if we let them get away with this con we will be paying for ever. It is estimated that every person in America is facing an additional $5,500 in taxes to pay for this con. Do you think we will be paying any less?

Next time we will look at how CCF's tell the truth – but lie all the same!

“I do actually Paul, very amusing but hardly the source of hard information. Mind you if you read my later blog on the Copenhagen conference (waiting to be published) you might think they have something there. I notice that you haven¿t mentioned all the other exotic locations they have travelled to hold meetings telling people not to ummm travel?
Funny isn¿t it Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth and others of that ilk, have been attacking big corporations for years about unnecessary travel to hold meetings, stating teleconferencing would do the job just as well, but as soon as they get offered an all expenses jolly they can¿t pack their bags fast enough!”

    “Bob.
Obviously you do not listen to BBC Radio 4's "The Now Show".
Oh! So it's all a massive con so that powerful people can go to Copenhagen?”

“The University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit has been telling us "porkies" for years about so called Global Warming just to keep the gullible politiciand funding their false research. Trouble is we are now going to have to pay incredibly for Energy with all this Carbon tax "green" nonsense.”
