WITH the Six Nations in full swing and Wales flying high, there's no shortage of rugby excitement to get the juices flowing.

But there's a special event at Parc y Scarlets next month which is bound to leave guests gagging for more of the rough stuff — especially the ladies.

After the success of Scarlets prop Iestyn Thomas's nude calendar, which saw stars George North and Jonathan Davies getting their kit off, the players are planning to bring it to life at the Calendar Live event.

The night promises to showcase the club's biggest prospects as you've never seen them before, all in aid of Iestyn's chosen charities — Tenovus, The Multiple Sclerosis Centre and Parasol.

Former Wales prop Iestyn said: "It just goes to show that the boys at the Scarlets aren't too precious and don't take themselves too seriously — it's a bit of fun and the calendar has certainly had a great reaction so far.

Grateful

"I'm grateful to the boys for supporting my testimonial year and taking part in the calendar — we had a brilliant laugh doing the shoot.

"We're obviously expecting a different sort of day for Calendar Live and there will be a few nerves flying around I would have thought, but it should be great fun.

"The main thing is we're trying to raise lots of funds for some important causes so it would be great to see Scarlets fans at the evening, and maybe grab one of the last remaining copies of the calendar."

Guests will be able to tuck into a three-course meal, win prizes in a raffle and have a free drink handed to them by one of the players while appreciating the view.

The event on Saturday, March 31, forms part of a programme of fundraisers which the club have been holding all year to raise money for the three charities.

Iestyn has been granted the honour of a benefit year for his services as a player, spending ten years at the Scarlets and playing more than 200 games for the club.
