This is SouthWales

I can't believe how quickly 12 months has passed as once again I find myself in rehearsals for Panto at the fantastic Swansea Grand Theatre. This year's Panto is Sleeping Beauty and its the first time that I have done this Wonderful Panto story.

First days of rehearsals can be very strange as everyone gets to meet, fortunately I had met everyone beforehand with the exception of Adam Price who plays the king. However we had become friends on Facebook, so that's good enough.

After tea and Welsh cakes we moved off into the rehearsal room where our director Terry Morrison leads a read through of the script.

We were joined by Bomber and Splinter .......... Sorry, surely you must know Bomber and Splinter!

Bomber is Chris Barrett, our lighting designer at the Grand whilst the Theatre's chief sound operator and our Panto man on soundSplinter and these two guys are nationally regarded as the best in the UK.

After lunch we start to block the show, and I must say that it was one of the best first day of rehearsals that I had ever had even though it was quite exhausting because at the end of that first day I had to head off to the Grand Arts Wing for the final evening of a play I was in called No No Nativity.

How can I describe the rest of this Panto cast?

Well Melandra Burrows is wonderful. She plays a great character and has the most wonderful laugh, always smiling. Helen Fraser is so much fun and great on stage as is Andrew Agnew who plays Billy. Lewis Bradley, our Prince is such a nice lad and a great Prince and it's a joy to be working again with the sweetest of Princesses Nia Jermin and our great king Adam Price.

A room full of beautiful ladies and they call this work. C'mon
