'£40bn up for grabs'
BUSINESSES in Wales are being encouraged to apply for a share of £40 billion of infrastructure funding by newly appointed Welsh Secretary David Jones.
Under the UK Guarantees Scheme launched by the Chancellor George Osborne, up to £40 billion of funding will be underwritten for infrastructure projects put on hold following difficulties in raising finance.

Mr Jones said the scheme shows infrastructure development is important to the Government's growth agenda and added: "It could dramatically accelerate major infrastructure investment and I urge Welsh companies to ensure they get their share of this significant investment fund."
