Ty Olwen

T — The news was a shock,

Oh to turn back the clock,

Arriving home, the thought was: "Why me?"

This is not the way it should be.

Y — Your brain in a spin,

Isolation sets in,

You feel so alone,

Where does one begin.

O — Oh, who can we tell, and what can we say,

Optimism says, it may all go away,

But sometimes some things just come out of the blue,

And yet in my heart I knew it was true.

L — Low in spirit, but not for long,

A referral to Ty Olwen to help us get strong.

To listen, to share, they're always there.

They give us strength and we know that they care.

W — Where else would you find such kindness and understanding?

You know who you are, but too many to mention.

You help to allay our fears and give us hope,

Which helps us immensely to learn how to cope.

E — Enduring the treatments as the weeks go by,

Our strength is sapped but our spirits are high.

To keep on going is our aim,

Our ultimate goal, together the same.

N — Never mind the setbacks, we will see it through,

With our friends and families standing by us true.

United in our trials, how strong our beliefs grew,

Helping each other in our journey through.
