One thing that standup comedy has taught me is that the world is most definitely round. It seems the further away you are from home, the closer you seem to become.

Last night I performed at a "gig" – that's what we call 'em, you know – in London's Fitzrovia...

Pete Park-Walker was born Pete Rogers in Swansea and in the late 1980s became a presenter for radio station Swansea Sound, working as a freelance in later years for BBC Radio Wales and S4C. After a short career as a photographer he now works in publishing as an editor but has a secret life as a stand-up comedian by night. Pete tests comedy material out on his wife and two dogs.
