Show number four and I'm loving it
Its the interval on show number 4 at the Grand and I am loving being part of Sleeping Beauty. We have been very fortunate to have had some great audiences including a packed house of school children at today's matinee.
I must say how proud I am of local young people who are making a huge contribution to the success. We have an incredible team of dancers, two of which are local.
Both Eleri and Alex trained at the Grand Theatre Dance School and have grown into beautiful dancers. In fact Eleri, who is almost 19, did her first Panto when I did my first Grand Theatre Panto and that was Robin Hood in 1996/97.
My dresser and our head of Wardrobe Rhys Tucker is an incredible talent, wonderfully creative.
I've known both our ASM's for many years Jenny Quirk is an outstanding student at Guildford School of Arts and my own daughter Bethan who is taking a degree in acting but is taking an opportunity to learn as much as she can about professional theatre.
The Panto babes are from the Grand Theatre Dance School and once again are outstanding.
Most of our time has been spent in and around the Theatre this past week and everyone is looking forward to a day off on Sunday.
Apart from a trip to Gershwins or Mardi Gras for eyelashes the dressing room has been a second home.
Still on 6 sleeps to Christmas or 13 shows.
