Twinkle-toed Ospreys stars get into the groove for clash

Thursday, December 03, 2009, 14:29

IT'S not just Shane Williams who has dancing feet.

Ospreys players have been throwing some shapes, which they want fans to copy ahead of this weekend's crunch Magners League match against Munster.

The pre-match entertainment for the Liberty Stadium clash on Saturday will include an appearance by Bonnie Tyler, who will perform the Cappuccino Girls, the title track of the new musical by Mal Pope.

And some Ospreys stars, including Mike Phillips, Marty Holah and Tom Isaacs, have teamed up with Mark Jermin Stage School to create a dance to accompany it, which they hope supporters will join as part of the pre-match action.

Mark Jermin said: "This is a great opportunity for Ospreys supporters to take a look at the adapted dance moves, and join in with the fun on the day."

Other entertainment on the day includes music by party favourites Joe Schmo before and after the game, and a collection will take place for one of the team's preferred charities for the season, the Penllergaer Splash Appeal, which aims to raise £1 million to build a hydrotherapy pool for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Paul Thorburn, strategic development manager at the Ospreys, said: "It's a good opportunity for the fans to get involved in the pre-match activity."
