Grieving pals and well-wishers have left heartfelt messages of sympathy and condolences for the family of Dale Hayden, aged 24.
Dale, a dad to daughter Shauna, was found dead at his home in Powys Avenue, Townhill, in the early hours of Monday.
One of his friends, Richard Brown, said the death had left all his friends in a state of complete shock.
He told the Post: "Dale was great. He was one of the boys nobody could argue with.
"He was there for everybody. He was someone to look up to.
"It is such a shock. He will truly be missed by his many friends and family."
Mr Brown revealed that Dale had shortly been due to travel to Magaluf with a party of friends.
"Dale was to be one of the party. It is really a bad time for everybody," he added
"Our hearts go out to his family. He was a true legend.
"What happened is such a terrible thing. He didn't deserve it."
Mr Brown said that Dale had been a happy-go-lucky man.
"The things he would come out with were hilarious and unforgettable.
"He had such an individual attitude," he said.
Mr Brown's tributes were echoed online by other friends of Dale.
Daniel Lerwell wrote on social networking site Facebook: "Rest in peace mate. Can't believe you're gone mate.
"My heart is with your little girl and your family.
"Goodnight mate, you were one in a million."
More than 300 people have now signed up to the Facebook site in Dale's memory.
Liam Stack wrote: "Love you and miss you always mate. Times I had with you were class. RIP. See you again."
Police have said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Dale's death.
A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out later this week.
