Sober behaviour

Friday, December 05, 2008, 10:44

BEER and rugby internationals go back a long way. A few pints before and after the game is a tradition (the exact number of pints depending on the result).

Less well established is the practice of people continuing to drink through the game. It did not happen at Cardiff Arms Park or when the Millennium Stadium opened. Hopefully, it will no longer happen in future.

The stadium is reviewing its policy after complaints from fans whose enjoyment of the game is spoilt by others who only seem to be there for the beer. The solution is simple: shut the bars.
