Pitch parking battle on match days at Liberty Stadium in Swansea
Last month the Evening Post reported how many residents are trapped in their homes by cars parked over their driveways or access lanes, mainly when the Swans play at home.
And the issue was raised at a Cwmbwrla Pact meeting, held at Manselton Community Centre, which on match days is almost bathed in the reflected light from the Liberty Stadium's floodlights. Residents say not enough is done by police to book cars parked dangerously or illegally, and council traffic wardens who can ticket those parked in residents' bays and on yellow lines.
One resident said: "I came out of the match on New Year's Day and there were 10 cars parked obstructing the pavement. There was a policeman there who just did nothing."
"I've got to admit the wardens are in evidence during the match — but they don't seem to do anything."
The resident said problem areas included Cwm Level Road and Pentre Mawr Road.
"It's one massive car park," he added. "You can't go about your normal business, you can't have visitors come to stay on a Saturday."
Residents added that if the park and ride car park charge was reduced from £5, more people would be persuaded to park there rather than on residential streets.
A spokesman for the Liberty Stadium said: "Stadium Management are aware of the concerns and as previously reported, there is currently a full review of the existing travel plan being undertaken."
Local councillor Viv Wharton told the residents he would ask a representative from Swansea Council who deals with parking enforcement to attend a future Pact meeting.
The next Pact meeting will be at Montana Park Community Centre, on March 1, at 6pm.
