Georgia acts up for long-running drama

Wednesday, September 10, 2008, 09:00

A YOUNG Sketty Primary School pupil will be hitting TV screens this weekend.

Ten-year-old Georgia Bruce, of Tycoch, will appear in two episodes of long-running BBC drama Casualty on Saturday and Sunday.

Her gran Carole Bruce said she was really proud of Georgia.

"She's done very well," she said.

"She's been in numerous TV adverts, but this was the first time she has starred in a TV programme.

"The cast and crew were so good with her, and the chap that plays Charlie Fairhead on the show said the children's acting knocked spots off the adults."

Georgia spent five days in the studio in Bristol at the end of June. Four days were taken up by filming and one day was spent with a tutor, making sure Georgia kept up with her studies.

Georgia's mum Joanna added: "She had a wonderful experience filming for a week in Bristol.

"She can't wait to get more acting roles."
