27 arrested over violence after Swansea v Cardiff football match
Trouble flared after the game with bricks and glass bottles being hurled at police, and Swansea supporters taunting rival Bluebird fans.
South Wales Police launched Operation Cybil in the aftermath of the violence to try and trace the culprits.
As part of the investigation they issued more than two dozen CCTV images of people they wanted to talk to — the photos were printed in the Post and on this website, as well as being distributed at a subsequent Swans game.
Chief Superintendent Mark Mathias said: "We are looking at every opportunity to identify, arrest, prosecute and ban those people who tarnished what was otherwise an excellent and well-behaved sporting event."
And he said he hoped the tough stance being taken by the police in pursuing the yobs would send out a clear message that match-day trouble would not be tolerated in Swansea.
"We are in the process of planning for the next Cardiff game," he said.
"And I would hope that any individual intent on causing problems at the match takes note of our current actions."
As a result of Operation Cybil seven people have so far appeared in court, 17 have been bailed pending further enquires, and a further three people have been quizzed but released with no further action being taken against them.
Police said they have also got names for another two people they want to speak to, and are trying to trace them.
Today officers are renewing their appeal for help in identifying the outstanding fans they want to quiz about the post-match disturbances.
A police spokesman said: "There are a total of 11 males outstanding whose photographs were originally circulated and are yet to be to be identified.
"Officers are urging the individuals concerned, or anyone who is able to identify any of them, to make contact with Swansea police."
