X Factor Lucie Jones: 'Simon Cowell is a bit of a hypocrite'
The 18-year-old lost out to twins John and Edward after Simon let the final decision go to public vote, despite saying in the past the Irish twins had no vocal talent.
And in an interview with Celebrity Scoop Lucie hit out at his decision for the first time since leaving the show.
She told me: "In my heart of hearts I did think Simon was a little bit hypocritical for not saving me, but in my head part of me thinks he wasn't.
"We all know really that there's reasons Simon does things that none of us will ever know. His mind works in magical and mystical ways."
Former bar worker Lucie was in Swansea on Wednesday after city club Oceana secured her first gig in Wales.
And speaking to Celebrity Scoop ahead of a three-song set at the venue, she told me she hoped to stay friends with mentor Dannii Minogue.
She told me: "Dannii is definitely the best judge to get. She's the most hands-on of all of them.
"I genuinely think we'll be friends after this. I've been speaking to her all day and she's been texting."
And Lucie — who was at the event with boyfriend Richard Jaycock — revealed she is backing Stacey.
She told me: "I want Stacey to win all the way. I think she's got a great chance of winning — she's got the whole package.
"She's gorgeous, talented and her personality is just so infectious. Everyone loves her."
And Lucie quipped it wouldn't be bad for the twins to win.
She joked: "If they win Simon will leave the country so that's one bonus I suppose!"
