'Every morning there are black bags torn open'
BRYNMILL resident Dave Wilson is one person who is keeping his fingers crossed that this years students will finally get their bins right.
He said: "It's been an issue for over 20 years and it has got worse over time.
"We have had a couple of months quiet but when the students come back all hell breaks lose.
"I refer to Brynmill as a ghetto. The council has allowed so many houses to be turned into houses of multiple occupation that make vast amounts of money for absent landlords who don't give a damn for the mess left behind.
"The problem is the foxes, I was on the Rec walking my dog one morning and I saw six of them. Every morning there are black bags torn open. The litter is everywhere.
"In all fairness the council has tried to do a bit over the last month or so by issuing guidelines about leaving bins out on the pavement but now all they do is leave them on the steps.
"The council has the power to do something about it but all they do is send them a letter."
