One among millions
A SWANSEA student was among the millions who waited in the cold to witness the inauguration of Barack Obama yesterday.
Nicola Bolton, an American studies and geography student at Swansea University, was given the chance after attending a Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington.
The 20-year-old witnessed the event as part of a five-day university presidential inaugural conference in Washington.
Before flying out on Wednesday, she said: "To be able to attend any inauguration is an opportunity of a lifetime, but this inauguration is set to be one of the defining moments of American history."
