“hi there, i have played football in the swansea senior league since i was 16. back in 1999/2000 season i was playing for penclawdd reserve team and we played port tennant stars up measteg park, and i scored in 5.3 seconds from kick off, the ref said that day it was a record for the swansea league since it has started. i have been looking back through every archive i can find on google and nothing seems to come up for my record or any other previous record for that matter. i have even tried to get in touch with the referee but i have been told he has passed away( done this because i was told referees keep records of all past games) can anyone help me to try and find this out as its been 10 years this month since it was scored and would like it to be put in the paper if the record still stands. thank you to all that can help.

“My father Albert Wells, known as Bertie, was evacuated to St Clears in 1943.He would dearly love to visit again, and I am trying to get some info to help.He stayed with a Dr Phillips,at Dannycraig,on Penpitch hill corner,(is it still there I wonder),and the doctor had 2 sister maids working for him called Muriel and Betty Herbert, one sister wore glasses. He also had a gardner called Mr Griffiths. My father was taken to a army barracks when they all arrived from London, and there was a man there also called Mr Phillips who was the one sorting out who goes where, and who looked in on their schooling now and again. This school was no more bigger than a large room,a chapel like, where he used to go.He says he was only away for arounsd a year, but he has very fond memories of this place, and is always reminising, hence wanting to visit one day soon.I do hope anyone can be of assistance, then maybe he can get the rest of the song done he keeps singing in welsh, that he only knows part of lol.Thank you for any help you may be able to give.”

“I am tracing my family tree and have discovered that his schooner ran aground in Swansea Harbour in 1923 before being taken to Appledore to be broken up. The ship was the King's Oak and my grandfather's name was Richard Harris. Wondered if anyone has any information?”

“Can not believe how Swansea has changed. Just a shame that all those old buildings were lost during the war.”
