Call over language chief job
THE new Welsh language commissioner must be independent, a South Wales West AM has warned.
Suzy Davies, the Shadow Minister for Welsh Language and Culture, warned the Welsh language had to be protected from political interference after the National Assembly approved rules governing the body which will make recommendations to First Minister Carwyn Jones.

She said: "It is absolutely essential that we have an entirely independent Welsh Language Commissioner.
"This process will not necessarily produce one.
"The commissioner's appointment should be made by the whole Assembly — not just on the say so of the First Minister."

“how can anyboby be independant?? from political beliefs? from religious beliefs? when i younger relative who were welsh (not all of them thankfully) only spoke to me in welsh, i was not fluent, and the more they persisted the more i resented. in fact as he was a welsh nationalist meant his attitude pushed his finger further up my nose, i regret losing my interest in the welsh language, but this AM wants someone who is perfect in thought, mind and deed, theres no such person,”

“Is this a joke?
Surely if Suzy Davies wants to protect the appointment of a Welsh Language Commissioner from political interference, every AM should be excluded from all sections of the selection process.
In any case, I thought that the procedure had been decided: SUB-LD8551 - The Welsh Language Commissioner (Appointment) Regulations 2011.”

“That's it Spend more of our Tax money on - THE new Welsh language commissioner, get rid of them you should and save Wales Million's of pounds Every Year, Every Penny count's when you add it up. same as the Running cost's to the Assembly , more Millions being spent on a LARGE Talking Shop. .”
