Yesterday You Talked About A Blue Blue Sky

Friday, December 04, 2009

Travelling back to India was fairly uneventful, if slightly uncomfortable thanks to the bus cramming in an inordinate amount of people. Once we'd prised ourselves out at Bhairawa, though, I met Yael and Neta, two Israeli girls. As we were all heading to Varanasi (via...

I grew up in the Swansea Valley, and after leaving school - too ill disciplined for college - I armed myself with a few GCSEs and about £50 in cash, and moved to London to find work.

I spent eight years there before disappearing to South Africa last October. I got back earlier this year, and after a few months in Swansea with my family while I planned my next trip, I've spent a couple of months in London, again, trying to top up my travel fund as much as possible. I've always put my spare pennies towards travel and this year is no different, except for various reasons there have evidently been fewer spare pennies, so I'm on a shoestring-budget.

This winter I'll be travelling around India, and budget allowing, making a trip-within-a-trip across the border to Nepal. I'll be updating you on my journey via this website on a regular basis while I'm away, providing I can get to an internet connection.

I hope you enjoy the updates...
