What else is he going to take?
I just wish he'd stop trying to nick the duvet off ours.
And the sheets, and the pillows.
Martinez was the king of South West Wales three months ago, but these days he's about as popular round here as Dave Jones dressed as a traffic warden.
As the Cardiff manager said himself in the spring, popping out for a meal in Wind Street would not be the smartest move.
The same goes for Martinez now after Wigan came calling and all talk of loyalty went out of the window.
As disappointed as I was to see a fine young manager leave the Liberty, I could understand that he was off to the Premier League where the streets are paved with gold.
But now Martinez is starting to get on my nerves.
He loved Swansea City, so he told us throughout his time as a player and then after we gave him the chance to be boss.
Even when he was unveiled at Wigan, he trotted out the old lines about Swansea having a special place in his heart.
So why does he seem intent on taking the club's heart with him?
First we had to put up with pictures of Jordi Gomez waving a blue and white scarf above his head, which was hard enough to take even though he was never actually our player.
After the smack in the mouth that was Martinez's exit, this was a dig in the ribs.
Graeme Jones, Kevin Reeves, Richie Evans and the rest had been a quick combination, then came the bodyblow that was Jason Scotland's move north — even if there were those down here who never appreciated him.
And now, just when we thought Martinez had begun focusing on performances — not results — at Wigan, he comes back again in an attempt to lure Ferrie Bodde.
After we've paid his wages for nine months, Bodde is on the brink of a return following cruciate-ligament trouble and Martinez wants him at Wigan.
As if he hasn't chiselled out enough Swansea gems, he's now after the jewel in the crown.
And he wants to pay with saving stamps.
The bid for Bodde is just what Swansea didn't need after an awkward start to the season.
Paulo Sousa's squad is crying out for quality additions, not for another of the star performers already here to be carted off to Lancashire.
Martinez, the man with encyclopaedic football knowledge, knows as much.
But is he bothered about the club he says he loves?
If so, he's got a funny way of showing it.

SOUSA has been linked with moves for a striker and a central defender since taking over the Liberty reins.
I'm all for a centre-forward — Swansea are obviously short of attacking options with Scotland gone.
But a central defender? I'd stick with Garry Monk and Ashley Williams, and splash the cash on an attacking midfielder and a pacy wide player instead.
