Polo — sorry Paulo — you're a breath of fresh air
But the Swansea City boss does not need mints to make him a breath of fresh air.
I am still wondering how exactly things are going to turn out for Sousa at Swansea.
The jury remains out on the man from Juve and on how he will cope in what is a difficult job.
But Sousa went up in my estimation last week when he admitted he'd love to humble his old club Queens Park Rangers.
We don't know what went on when Sousa was at Loftus Road, but the story goes that they sacked him because he "divulged sensitive information".
Did he leak stories about finances or stick some dodgy pics on the internet?
No, this football manager went and spoke about the transfer of one of his players.
It's like a cleaner chatting about his mop or a butcher talking cleavers.
No wonder Sousa is still bickering with the Rangers hierarchy and that their legal battle might end up in court.
And no wonder he really fancied winning last weekend.
The best thing about it?
Apart from the fact that we did win, of course, it was that Sousa came out and confessed that he'd love to stick one over the Rs.
There was no sign of the standard manager's line about a meeting with a club who had previously given him the boot being just another game.
Instead Sousa revealed his relish for the fixture and then celebrated hard when Swansea scored a couple of late goals.

MARK Gower sent Swansea on their way to victory over Rangers, the winger finally hitting the mark after a season and a bit spent swinging banjos at cows' rear ends.
And missing.
Hopefully last Saturday's excellent finish — which was much harder than some of the chances he has missed — will give Gower the belief to go on and reach double figures this season, because he showed he could do it at Southend.
Will Lee Trundle reach 10 goals for Swansea this year? That might depend on how much game-time Sousa gives him.
Trundle does not seem to be top of his manager's list at the moment, but a couple more strikes when opportunity knocks will make it impossible to leave him out.

I DON'T miss Sincil Bank and I don't miss Spotland.
And I can't say I'm bothered that I've never seen the Swans at Dagenham & Redbridge.
But one thing the lower leagues do have going for them is that they don't pack up because Wales and England are in action.
International breaks are about beaches in the summer, not soggy October weekends when you're left with no game to watch.

THE guys on Sky kept on about Didier Drogba's power after Chelsea beat Liverpool the other day.
But if the bloke's so strong, why does he fall over almost every time the ball comes near him?
If he was a Swansea player, I'd be embarrassed.
