In-form quartet boost title bid
SWANSEA'S second string continued their good form in their pursuit of a second bowls Merit Table title in three years with an excellent 129-71 victory at Dinefwr.
There was little to choose between the teams after the opening quarter, with the visitors holding a narrow one-shot lead.
But by halfway they had increased their advantage to 18 shots before turning on the style in the second half to win by 58 shots at the close.
The Swansea quartet of Martin Legg, Paul Hill, John Court and Arnie James were in outstanding form as they top-scored with a 35-6 win against Keith Peregrine, and the visitors returned three further successes when Clive Davies and Mike Pearce both won by 17-shot margins and Ken Clement edged out Brian Rees 16-13.
