THAT fateful day when Scott Sinclair and co wowed the nation on the Wembley pitch isn't likely to be forgotten here anytime soon.

But in case you need a reminder, the latest offering from Fluellen Theatre should help you relive the glory.

All of the 40-odd thousand fans at Wembley will have their own story to tell and some of the more comic ones have been mined for Wemberlee! Wemberlee!, on at Swansea's Grand Theatre from Tuesday to Saturday, February 25.

Loosely based on Chaucer's Canterbury Tales it tells the story of Lee Davies, the worst poet in Wales, but the Swans' most vocal fanatic. The audience will join him on the bus along with Dave The Geek, Spud, Millo, Trish and Sister Innocent, with Kevin Johns, the Swansea City club chaplain and matchday MC, in the lead role.

He said: "While football is a passion of mine so is the theatre. The chance to work with an excellent cast over the last few months made the notion of missing the Swans bearable, and now it's straight back in for rehearsals for Wemberlee! Wemberlee!"

The play unfolds from 7.15pm, with a Wednesday matinee at 2pm.
