Fire fighters battle 30-hectare Gower blaze
FIRE crews are still dealing with a fire on Gower which has scorched some 30 hectares of gorse and shrubland.
The alarm was raised shortly after 11am this morning.
Four crews from Swansea Central and Swansea West, and retained fire fighters from Reynoldston, were dispatched to the scene at Cefn Bryn, near Reynoldston.
They used beaters to tackle the blaze, which spread westwards on what is rapidly becoming very dry ground.

"Thirty acres of gorse and shrubland was destroyed by fire," said a Mid and West Wales Fire Service spokesman.
This is roughly the size of 30 rugby pitches.
At the time of writing, two of the five crews remain at the scene.
