family's stabbing: murder attempt accused in court
A SWANSEA man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder, following an incident in a house in Mayhill on New Year's Day.
Michael Richard Matthews, of Gors Avenue, Townhill, who entered no plea, is alleged to have stabbed Christian, Catherine and Andrew Strawbridge at a home in Townhill Road, as they were enjoying a party with friends to celebrate the New Year.
Prosecuting, Julie Sullivan said Andrew Matthews had suffered a puncture "to the stomach that was so severe the bowel and intestine were protruding from the wound".
