A REVIEW panel set up to consider the structure of the general educational qualifications market in Wales has found no clear evidence to indicate the current market structure has had an adverse effect on standards.

The review panel was set-up following allegations over awarding organisation seminars relating to GCSEs and A levels.

    “I regularly deal with school and university leavers for work. Standards are, quite frankly, abysmal. I could spell better when I was twelve than a majority of graduates can now.

    30 years of meddling with an education system that worked have left us with a one size fits all system that specialises in producing mediocrity.”
