Vocalists are wanted in Cardiff as auditions for Open Mic UK, the national music talent competition for vocalists and solo artists in the UK, begin this summer. Vocalists are wanted in Cardiff as Open Mic UK, the competition that discovered Birdy and Hatty Keane, is searching for the UK’s best vocalists, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists. Vocalists in Cardiff that enter Open Mic UK can perform either covers or original material throughout the competition. Open Mic UK offers vocalists in Cardiff not only the chance to win prizes, but the opportunity to perform live in some of the best music venues in the country and the Open Mic UK Grand Final takes place at the best live music venue in the country – The 02 in London! This year, it could be you!
There will be £50,000 worth of prizes up for grabs for vocalists in Cardiff, and the winning act will not only be crowned the Best On The Mic in front of a packed out crowd at The 02 in London, but they will also be offered a recording contract to release their single.
The competition is divided into age categories: 16 and under, 17-22 and 23 and over. Open Mic UK is all about finding an act that has the ability to become a professional recording artist.
