Two plays by Dylan Thomas adapted by Gwynne Edwards and directed by Stephanie Jefferies.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see the premiere of adaptations by Gwynne Edwards of two of Dylan Thomas' short stories. Little Cough ( George Hooping ) with Dylan and other friends go for a weekend down to Rhossili where they encounter GIRLS but unfortunately also the school's better endowed bullies. Expectations are not quite lived up to but Little Cough, after goading by the bullies ceases to be just Little and becomes Extraordinary.
The Peaches is also a story of unfulfilled expectation. For Dylan it is to have a lovely weekend with his posh friend up from Swansea; for his Aunt, to host a little tea party for the mother. It starts off well - but a combination of things cause the weekend to disintegrate with disappointment for all.
Both stories are funny, yet with pathos, Swansea references and, of course, Dylan's wonderful way with words. These are not to be missed.
