Great News! Mission Gallery have recently refurbished the first floor and now have a dedicated education space that we can’t wait to share with you through activities, workshops and events. We want to continue making Mission Gallery a special place for the arts in Swansea and hope you can join us in some great workshops for children, families and adults.

Monday 29th Oct | Free | The Colour of Sound | Rob Olins
...Have you ever wondered what the colour of sound is? Move around the exhibition, ‘House of Mirrors’ with artist exhibiting Rob Olins and explore the colour of sound through rapid sketching and a variety of materials.
Children | 8 – 12yrs | 10am – 12pm
Adults | 16+ | 1pm – 3pm

Wednesday 31st Oct | £5 | Mission Monsters | Jessica Hoad
Looking for a Halloween costume like no other? Join artist Jessica Hoad to design and make your very own monster head! Using upcycled materials, participants will design and make a wearable monster head which can be taken home and used with the activity sheet provided, to encourage play or story writing.

Junior Monsters | 8 – 12 yrs | 10am – 1pm
Little Monsters | 5 – 7 yrs | 2pm – 4pm

Thursday 1st Nov | £8 | Mission Robots | Sean Olsen
Want to create a robot that can paint? Transform your broken electronic toys into moving robots with artist Sean Olsen. Put your new mechanical creations to the test alongside other families to create a floor painting masterpiece!
Bring any broken, unwanted or unused electronic toys or objects, and any items to help your robot create a masterpiece, such as old paintbrushes or even toothbrushes!

Family | 1.30pm – 4.30pm

Please bring a minimum of 1 broken electronic toy or object and 1 paintbrush.

Getting to Mission Gallery:
We are a 15 minute walk from Swansea High Street train station and a 10 minute walk from Swansea's central bus station. The nearest pay and display car parks are situated behind Mission Gallery in the Pumphouse and also in Somerset Place, a 5 minute walk. Parking spaces are available in Gloucester Place, however, use of the Park & Ride system on Fabian Way, is a good alternative due to limited parking.
