Two drivers arrested after 72yo man killed in collision
Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was killed in a collision outside a rugby club.
The 72-year-old man collided with a Vauxhall Corsa on Brynaman Road in Gwaun-cae-Gurwen, and despite the best efforts of medics he died at the scene.
The 19-year-old driver of the blue Corsa, along with a 25-year-old driver of a black Proton car, were arrested following the incident.
The collision happeded around 4.20pm yesterday outside Cwmgors RFC, and roads in the area remained closed well into the evening while police investigated the incident.

The deceased man has not yet been formally identified, but police describe him as a local man.
Police are appealing for anybody with information on the incident - or who saw the pedestrian or the cars in the moments before the collision - to come forward.
A South Wales Police spokesman said: "Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
"The police would like to speak to any person who witnessed the collision or who stopped to provide assistance, or anyone who may have seen the pedestrian or the vehicles being driven prior to the collision and who have not yet given their details."
