“I agree, Jones not the right choice for me.
So important for managers to have contacts to bring new players in.
Rodgers got Sinclair, Borini, Sigurdsson.
Laudrup and Bergcamp would bring in Dutch/European players (and keep Vorm happy!)
Jones would bring in a few Wigan rejects maybe?”

“Well at least he did not accept knowing that he might not be 100% right for the challenge.Jenkins I think has the clubs best interests at heart and also the club being in his heart,he has been there through every up and down and may be he is slightly panicking over what happens next. But I am sure the right choice will be made.
And yep Brendon took an opportunity that alot of people would of jumped at,but is also forgetting why he came to Swansea in the first place. Ive a feeling its not going to be all sunshine for the man. Though that is a choice he has to live with :)”
“Is Jones The Right Apprentice to Drive Swansea's Cash Cow?
As we step closer to the heavily awaited Euros and subsequent preparations for the new Premier League campaign, Swansea City have been forced to rebuilt their future in top flight football with the recent departure of Rogers to Liverpool. With still some uncertainty on whether Gylfi Sigurdsson will commit his future to the Swans, The Board may need to make haste on their appointment of their next ''Apprentice''.
Despite Graham Jones publicly announcing that he feels he is not ready for a high profile position Huw Jenkins is ready to persuade his number one candidate to step up to the plate. However, I do have reservations with Jenkin's determination and ask this… If Swansea are to stick with their ethos of picking young, determined and ambitious up and coming managers, why should we expect to ask them twice?
If we had candidates Holloway, Laudrup, Poyet and Jones in the boardroom in front of ''Lord Jenkins'' I'm sure we'd hear those inaugural words 'you're fired!' directed towards the Latics No. 2 given the lack of ambition, so why should this be any different? I'm not here to criticise Jones' decision not to take the job, as we have seen on a number of occasions the allure of top flight managerial posts can be a harsh lesson for any candidate if they are not equipped to deal with the pressure. My critique is why Huw Jenkins is still pursuing this opportunity if they are reluctant to put their name in the hat?
It may be a shrewd method of negotiation from Jones but the though of dragging a candidate kicking and screaming to The Liberty does bring cause for concern!!”
