“European Union member states had earlier agreed to stop importing Iranian crude from 1 July.
France imported only 3% of its crude oil from Iran last year and Britain imported even less.

“Yes I read that to Gwyddno, That isn't really the point, because it still remains an issue with the rest of the European states, would they now support a call to retaliate against Iran, All for one and one for all so to speak. In reality they should no matter how trivial it may appear.”

“Really? How many times have we seen local opposition to coal works? Everytime.

Coal is dirty and invasive to mine, even gasification comes with the qualifier that their burning it under your feet. It'd be great if people would accept some logic, but they won't and so coal on any viable scale is doomed in Wales.”

“It is just the media stirring it up again.

Because it is Iran everyone should be running scared.

And as for coal making a comeback somebody is living in cloud cuckoo land.”

“I saw a lorry load (bagged 100cwt!) of coal in Aberdare, the other day to my utter surprise, makes one think whats around the corner. Should oil or Gas become too expensive, I wouldn't knock or ridicule a future alternative, greenhouse gas omissions appear to be an excuse for further taxation by certain governments, well they must have their pound of flesh at the end of the day. As for Iran, yes we must really look harder at the political emphasis and their reasons to for and why.
The newspaper reporters are only there to sell stories, for papers to make money, they've now proved beyond doubt, if there ain't no news....they'll make it up.”

“Happily going off to another war, then, are we?
And BTW it may take 5 minutes longer for bombs from Iran to reach the UK.......
    When will people ever learn?”
