“if i was in charge of swansea i would go for a young manager with experience at the top level and who believes in playing the same type of passing game that swansea do. someone who fits that bill perfectly is andre villas boas, who was shabbily despatched by a clique at chelski. AVB has played and coached at the top level, hes tactically aware and hes available...so there wouldnt be any compensation to pay another club! He also has said he wants to coach in the premiership again! I think he'd be a better choice than the person apparently being touted for the job in the welsh media - malky mackay....”

“Rudi Garcia. The Lille manager.
The only problem is the guy is line for Champions League football. I would be happy for Swansea to offer him all of that five million pounds of compensation to get this guy in. He is has a decent enough knowledge of English language so that is a great start, he loves his possession football and prefers a slow patient build up with explosive wide men and a creative midfielder playing in an advanced role to support a lone striker.
Such a shame his team finished third in the French league, ok, they still have to get through the qualifiers but they are all but there if we are honest as they will play against teams from Azerbaijan for instance.
This guy is perfect for the Swansealona style.”

“Benitez would be too expensive, he would demand £5M per year. He really thinks he is that good. Besides, the man has not shown what he can do on a tight budget because everywhere he has been he has driven the club to near bankruptcy.
Liverpool, Valencia, Inter... all spent in excess of £100M in very short time under his tenure. At Liverpool he spent nearly over £350M, people forget that little fact. He might have got a Champions League trophy (through blind luck) but he never realistically got any closer to the league title than Graeme Souness.”

“Joaquin Caparros would be a perfect fit in terms of style, the way he made Mallorca a strong team and pushing hard for a European place. Marcelo Bielsa would be another good choice, but I don't think we would be considered tempting enough yet.
Maybe we can tempt Mauricio Pochettino away from Espanyol, what he has done with a young squad and little money over the last two seasons with them is very similar to BR, he would be a great choice.”
“So with Brendan Rodgers leaving for Liverpool... who is going to succeed him?”
