“If you desire to practice Islam fine, but as a person living in Britain, one must live publicly as a local citizen, in order to appease the locals. Forcing them to tolerate your cultural desires is as flaunting an antagonistic culture in your neighbors face. Why live in Britain if you are so desirous of living in the culture you or your family fled. Please go back to the land of your desires and quit despoiling or criticizing those who surround you. After all theirs is the indigenous culture of the land you are living in. Besides, your Islamic language and culture is abhorrent to those in the West because of its currying Jihad and ill-treatment of women.”

“Endemic racism is infecting all walks of British society. It is a well known fact that British education is a home of institutional racism. The immigrant children are victims of bullying and racism. Muslim children suffer more than other children. Majority of them leaves schools with low grades or without any qualification. There is no arrangement for them to learn Arabic and Urdu languages making them cut off from their cultural roots. They suffer from Identity crises crucial for mental, emotional and personality development. According to s study report British teachers have no respect for Islamic faith and Muslim community. Muslim children need state funded Muslim schools with Muslim teachers for proper education based on their needs and demands.

The best solution of this problem is that those state schools where Muslim pupils are in majority should be designated as Muslim community schools under the management and control of Muslim educational Trusts. Newly arrived Muslim children can be educated in Muslim schools with Muslim teachers. They are not going to swamp state schools and they will not suffer from bullying and racism. They will feel at home with teachers speaking the same languages. This is a humane approach to the education of newly arrived children otherwise they will suffer educationally and emotionally like their predecessors. I hope Policy makers will look for alternatives to educate children of asylum seekers so that they could be easily accommodated and adjusted in the British society as equals.

Truth is always bitter. You must learn to listen to those who are culturally, linguistically and spiritually differnt. Education is should be more than providing pupils with the skills they need to get a job or enter university: we should not forget that we have a duty to pass on a body of knowledge through generations

British schools are not doing enough to tackle racism and promote race relations. Many teachers are unaware of racist attitudes amongst pupils. Schools have a responsibility not only to deal with racist incidents but also to prepare pupils for life in a multicultural and multiracial society.

Children from minority groups, especially the Muslims, are exposed to the pressure of racism, multiculturalism and bullying. They suffer academically, culturally and linguistically: a high proportion of children of Pakistani and Bangladeshi origin are leaving British schools with low grades or no qualification.

In the 80s, the Muslim community in Britain started to set up Muslim schools. The first was the London School of Islamics which I established and which operating from 1981-86. Now there are 180 and only 12 are state funded.

The needs and demands of Muslim children can be met only through Muslim schools, but education is an expensive business and the Muslim community does not have the resources to set up schools for each and every child, and only eight Muslim schools have achieved grant maintained status.

This leaves a majority of children from Muslim families with no choice but to attend state schools. There are hundreds of state schools where Muslim pupils are in majority. In my opinion, all such schools may be opted out as Muslim Academies with bilingual Muslim teachers as role models.

Prince Charles, while visiting the first grant maintained Muslim school in north London, said that the pupils would be the future ambassadors of Islam. But what about thousands of others, who attend state schools deemed to be "sink schools"?

The television newscaster Sir Trevor McDonald is a champion of introducing foreign modern languages even at primary level in schools in Britain. The Muslim community would like to see Arabic, Urdu and other community languages introduced at nursery, primary and secondary schools along with European languages so that Muslim pupils have these options. In education, there should be a choice and at present it is denied to the Muslim community.”

“My daughter attends a multiethnic school school. I've personaly witnessed no bullying. And the school has extra staff in to work with Muslim children. In fact it could even be said that that the British child suffers more by losing out on learning time taken up by Muslim children children.
And more often than not its the Muslim parent that cuts themselves off from others resulting in their child doing the same resulting in a lack off convidence or a lack of feeling part of the everyday school day.”

“Let's get one thing straight first off. There's no such thing as a "Muslim child" or a "Christian child". Would you describe a child as a "political liberal child" or a "democratic socialist child" ? A Muslim is someone who has read, understood and critically evaluated the Qu'ran. I'm not aware of any child who has done this to any level that would warrant them being truly labeled as a Muslim. I'm sick and tired of people thinking on behalf of their children and applying the political, economic and religious labels of parents to children. There are people here complaining of bullying and racism to children of Muslim parents, when in fact the most endemic and pernicious form of child abuse and bullying is not allowing your child the freedom to think for itself.”

“By setting up separate societies and schools which reenforce those cultural and religious societies and their belief systems you are creating another schism within the British Society. In America racism is fostered by separatism in the educational system which is a bane to diversity and multiculturalism. I find it absolutely ludicrous that those who have left Islamic Cultures for whatever reason are trying to reestablish that culture in a foreign land, and if people that are indigenous to that foreign land, Britain, object to this , then they are the racists?.( Excuse me but your use of the word racist is incorrect. You mean cultural and religious snobbery perhaps but not racial.) the British people need to stand fast for their culture and reject the demands of these counter cultural, idealogues and give them the boot back to their stone age cultures.”

“The United Kingdom is obviously not the right place for you, you may want to reconsider your decision to move here. We are not going to change our lives to accommodate you while you have such a rich choice of alternate destinations around the world.

With many affluent Muslim nations I question your dedication to Islam by choosing an a majority atheist state to settle.”

“I am shaking my head reading this. I cannot believe the audacity of the person writing this. Are you deliberately trying to provoke an outburst from the general public?
Bonymaenbob says it well when he says that "the British people need to stand fast for their culture and reject the demands of these counter cultural, idealogues and give them the boot.."
I'm sorry, Britain has been so accomodating, giving these people so much, accepting them into our country, when that acceptance would not be reciprocated in their country, and all they do is complain!
If you move to a country because you think you will have a better life there, then you need to embrace the ways of that country, including their language and religion. Try to fit in with your neighbours rather than tell them that "Every child is born Muslim but parents make him/her Jew or Christian"....????
Sorry, but I had to vent. This makes no sense. Britain was once a great Kingdom. If this attitude continues and grows, we will lose everything.”

“Like above has just said, the only reason there is a better way of life here in the UK is because of the culture. So coming here to try and change it be more like your home will naturally drag this down and revert it to a stage inhabited in the place from which you came from.”
