A degree of opportunity
PART-TIME education at Trinity University, Carmarthen, is being highlighted during Adult Learners' Week, which runs from Saturday to Friday, May 21.
Vice-chancellor of the university Dr Medwin Hughes said: "The university works with communities across West Wales in the delivery of part-time and flexible programmes.
"It is committed to widening access to higher education.
"Through a number of schemes, the university is providing opportunities for adult learners across the region to participate in a range of courses include taster courses, certificates and foundation degrees in the workplace, as well as degree and masters' programmes." The university is able to offer comprehensive advice to adult learners on how to obtain finance to follow various courses.
Some students may qualify for a Career Development Loan (CDL), to fund any full-time or part-time course, as long as it is vocational in nature.
CDL is a deferred repayment bank loan which allows you to borrow between £300 and £8,000.
