CARMARTHEN firefighters were called to the town's Fountain Hall Terrace after a carbon monoxide alarm was sounded in the early hours of Monday.

The crew extinguished a coal fire at 35 Fountain Hall Terrace, and treated one female for the effects of smoke inhalation as a precaution.
