All creatures great and small flock to Kidwelly for special pet blessing ceremony
ALL creatures great and small were blessed at an unusual ceremony in Kidwelly.
Trinity Methodist Church held its annual pet blessing event in the car park where Reverend Felicity Randall, who conducted the event, was not the only one sporting a dog collar.
Church steward, Mary Standfield said: "It went very well, the weather held out and we had about seven dogs and four cats as well as a representative from guide dogs for the blind.
"Everybody introduced their pets on the microphone and Felicity welcomed everyone before the blessings took place.
"Some of the people read about it and wanted their pets blessed as it represents God's love for animals as well.
"It's getting more and more popular and people do look forward to it.
"Even people who don't have pets come along to see what it is all about."
